Not often available for sale, lilium carniolicum is a beautiful species found in Greece and nearby Balkan countries on mountain slopes in very well drained soils. It does well in a raised bed containing at least 60% gravel or grit, with coverings from excess rain if need be. 15-30cm's in height and flowers in June. One bulb available, extra large size.
