Lilium columbianum
A nice USA species, growing in the wild in western north america, where it has quite a wide distribution, found often growing in ditches at roadsides at the edge of woodland, but also in slighly drier areas. It can be a bit tricky to eatablish as it needs excellent drainage in order not to rot, and a humus rich soil in either half shade or full sun. It does not tend to exceed 30 cm's here, but can grow up to 170 cm's tall in the wild from larger specimen sized bulbs. It is hard to determine FS in this sp, as bulbs tend to be quite different in shape and size, some flower at the size of the bulb offered here, while others whait a year or so. The bulbs offered here will produce flowers that are even slightly more orange in tone than the one pictured.
