Lilium pitkinense

Lilium pitkinense

CHF85.00Price

A rare and endangered wild species, it is only found worldwide in one marsh in California. It is so sight specific to these swampy marsh conditions that it proves difficult in cultivation. A big bulb may produce a myriad of small unflowered stems. Only to then divide into many small bulbs which eventually decline due to loss of vigour. 20-180cm's tall, flowers in June-July.

These are exceptionally large specimen-sized bulbs (not often available at this size).
