A Mexican native with fabulous dangling orange bells with turquoise anthers from September to November. This is definitely a show-stopping bulb in any rockery. However it is a tender bulb so it is best to dig up the corms just before the frost, dig them up and store them dry in a cellar or similar frost-free location over winter. Very easy to grow however in any well-drained soil in full sun.
