Lilium catesbaei is a ver rarely offered USA lily species from bog areas in Florida and Alabama. Not impossible in cultivation, unsurprisingly hardy, it can succesfully be grown for a few years in artifical bogs just as lilium iridollae. It has also survived minus degrees at the showgarden in Switzerland. Only 15-25cm tall but with humongous fabulous flowers looking similar to a spider that has opened due to the petal tip points attaching to the stalk. Show-stopping species.
