The smaller dwarf variety of formosanum, from Taiwan, only reaching 10-15 cm's tall, so ideal for a rockery or a raised bed. The flower is proportionally very large in relation to the plant, often 15 cm's long and highly fragrant, flowering in June/July. Seeds can produce flowering sized plants in 2 years with good feeding.
